Hebei: Pingquan County is adopting vertical Shiitake cultivation on the ground

After three years' constant use the horizontal ground cultivation, the cultivation place will be easier to disease and less production. According to this, it is a trend that shifts from horizontal ground cultivation to vertical Shiitake cultivation on the ground or on the shelf.
This year, Pingquan County start to widely popularize vertical Shiitake cultivation and now has achieved initial success. Some big edible mushroom areas have cultivated with a large scale and number nearly 100,000 to 200,000 bags. Some farmers try to a small amount vertical cultivation, which is a good start.
Recently, with the rise of temperature, Pingquan County cultivation garden start the vertical Shiitake cultivation one after one. The writer went into the edible fungus garden in Dashi Lake Forestry Centre and saw the busy farmers. Until now, the garden has cultivated 80.000 bags of “Shiitake Lingxian 1”and has cut 60,000 bags for fruiting bodies to grow.
