It was said that Farmers did not take the usual way to develop shiitake cultivation in Bajiao Village in Hunan Province. They tried to be different way through adopting stereo multiple layer patterns for shiitake cultivation. On the four layer shelves, they could put nearly 40,000 mushroom bags and harvest 30 tons. The value of mushroom output could reached 210,000 RMB. In order to save electricity, they adopted groundwater to control temperature and saved electricity nearly 40 million kilowatt-hours. The farmers also made mushroom bags through Lotus seed shells to turn the waste into treasure and save massively wood resources.
