Beijing Central Wholesale Market: Analysis of Mushroom Price

According to mushroom quotation provided by Beijing Central Wholesale Market, on March 8, Hericium erinaceus is the only variety that shows price rise, from 16 to 18 CNY per kg, showing 13% of increase range. 

On the contrary, by March 6, Shiitake mushroom, Pleurotus cornucopiae, Pleurotus geesteranus, Oyster mushroom, White beech mushroom, King oyster mushroom, Coprinus comatus, Button mushroom, Enoki mushroom, Agrocybe cylindracea, Brown Shimeji mushroom, Stropharia rugosoannulata, Seafood mushroom, Cordyceps militaris and Big Clitocybe are 15 varieties that show price fall.

1. Price of Shiitake mushroom has dropped from 9 to 7 CNY per kg, indicating 22% of decline range.

2. Price of Pleurotus cornucopiae has dropped from 11 to 6.7 CNY per kg, indicating 39% of decline range.

3. Price of Pleurotus geesteranus has dropped from 12 to 7.5 CNY per kg, indicating 38% of decline range.

4. Price of Oyster mushroom has dropped from 7 to 5.2 CNY per kg, indicating 26% of decline range.

5. Price of White beech mushroom has dropped from 23.3 to 16.7 CNY per kg, indicating 28% of decline range.

6. Price of King oyster mushroom has dropped from 7 to 5.5 CNY per kg, indicating 21% of decline range.

7. Price of Coprinus comatus has dropped from 16 to 12 CNY per kg, indicating 25% of decline range.

8. Price of Button mushroom has dropped from 15 to 13.8 CNY per kg, indicating 8% of decline range.

9. Price of Enoki mushroom has dropped from 8.5 to 5 CNY per kg, indicating 41% of decline range.

10. Price of Agrocybe cylindracea has dropped from 12 to 8.7 CNY per kg, indicating 28% of decline range.

11. Price of Brown Shimeji mushroom has dropped from 23.3 to 12.5 CNY per kg, indicating 46% of decline range.

12. Price of Stropharia rugosoannulata has dropped from 26 to 15 CNY per kg, indicating 42% of decline range.

13. Price of Seafood mushroom has dropped from 12 to 9.2 CNY per kg, indicating 23% of decline range.

14. Price of Cordyceps militaris has dropped from 14 to 11 CNY per kg, indicating 39% of decline range.

15. Price of Big Clitocybe has dropped from 23.3 to 14.3 CNY per kg, indicating 39% of decline range.

“Price of Superior Shiitake mushroom, Straw mushroom, Pleurotus nebrodensis, Pholiota nameko and Pleurotus citrinopileatus is respectively at 16 CNY, 20 CNY, 24 CNY, 12 CNY and 16 CNY per kg.
