Beijing Xinfadi Market: Analysis of Mushroom Price

According to mushroom quotation provided by Beijing Xinfadi Agricultural Products Wholesale Market, on January 17, King oyster mushroom, Enoki mushroom, Shiitake mushroom, Seafood mushroom, White beech mushroom, Brown Shimeji mushroom, Agrocybe cylindracea and Button mushroom are 8 mushroom varieties that show price rise.

1. Price of King oyster mushroom has risen from 7 to 8.5 CNY per kg, showing 21% of increase range. 

2. Price of Enoki mushroom has risen from 8.5 to 9 CNY per kg, showing 6% of increase range. 

3. Price of Shiitake mushroom has risen from 9 to 10 CNY per kg, showing 11% of increase range.

4. Price of White beech mushroom has risen from 18.3 to 23.3 CNY per kg, showing 27% of increase range.

5. Price of Brown Shimeji mushroom has risen from 16.7 to 20.8 CNY per kg, showing 25% of increase range.

6. Price of Pleurotus nebrodensis has risen from 17.5 to 20 CNY per kg, showing 14% of increase range.

7. Price of Pholiota nameko has risen from 11.3 to 12.5 CNY per kg, showing 11% of increase range.

8. Price of Seafood mushroom has risen from 11.2 to 14.4 CNY per kg, showing 29% of increase range.

On the contrary, by January, 17, Superior Shiitake mushroom and Agrocybe cylindracea are 2 varieties that show price fall.

1. Price of Superior Shiitake mushroom has dropped from 20 to 16 CNY per kg, indicating 20% of decline range.

2. Price of Agrocybe cylindracea has dropped from 11 to 8.9 CNY per kg, indicating 19% of decline range.

“In addition, market price of Cordyceps militaris is at 12 CNY per kg. Recently, affected by the season and other factors, price of some mushroom varieties continues to rise in the market, as Chinese New Year approaches, mushroom sales is in expansion while price of mushroom is expected to go up,” introduces manager of Beijing Xinfadi Agricultural Products Wholesale Market passionately.
