In recent days, in Grifola frondosa shed of Qingyuan County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province of China, growers are orderly engaged with picking and airing of Grifola frondosa.
Grifola frondosa is categorized into a kind of edible and rare mushroom, and its cultivation holds high requirement on water quality, air and other natural environment. As the pioneer on Grifola frondosa cultivation in China, Lishui City of Zhejiang Province ranks China’s first place on its cultivation scale and output, accounting for 85% of that of China.
Lishui City is undoubtedly the birthplace of artificial Grifola frondosa cultivation in China and local Grifola frondosa cultivation has become the new economic growth point followed by Shiitake mushroom.
“As one of the largest Grifola frondosa producing areas, in 2015, gross output on Grifola frondosa reached 1500 tons and output value came to over 300 million CNY in Qingyuan County of Lishui City, now, the market price for fresh Grifola frondosa is at 14 CNY per kg while it is 80-100 CNY per kg on dried form,” introduces related principal from Mushroom Administration of Qingyuan County passionately.
