Growing edible and medicinal mushrooms can be lucrative

On October 30, Ms. Luo Chan, principal of Shaanxi Sunlight Meinong Edible and Medicinal Mushroom Cooperative is explaining the growth rhythm of Reishi mushroom.

“In 2015, after in-depth investigation and study on favorable environmental condition and abundant resource, i established the cooperative and started to embark on edible and medicinal mushroom industry, then i successfully registered Luonan Sunlight Ecological Agricultural Technology Company and Luonan Sunlight Meinong Edible (Medicinal) Mushroom Cooperative with the registered fund of over 8 million CNY,” introduces Mr. Luo warmly, going on that now, she mainly specializes in spawn production and marketing, R&D, promotion and application of Oyster mushroom, Black fungus, Shiitake, 
Poria cocos, Gastrodia elata and other edible and medicinal mushrooms.

By now, over 300 poor households have been leaded to embark on mushroom industry and generate per capita annual incomes of 6000 CNY by Ms. Luo. Next step, she proposes to raise fund on establishment of deep mushroom processing project and drive more poor masses to end poverty and grow prosperous.
