On October 22, The 14th National Mushroom Supplies Expo & Mushroom Factory Development Meeting co-sponsored by China Township Enterprise Association of Mushroom Branch, China Edible Mushroom Business Net and People’s Government of Qingfeng County was opened in Qingfeng County, Puyang City, Henan Province of China.
“Over the years, Qingfeng County keeps on relying on its advantages, taking innovative measures to push the transformation and development of mushroom industry while its scale and benefit expand year by year, this time of expo will surely build a platform for display of superior products, development of investment and trading, and promotion of technical innovation,” said Mr. Zhang Liancai, deputy mayor of Puyang City, Henan Province of China in opening ceremony, going on that by now, 70 standardized mushroom bases, 12,000 standardized greenhouses have been built in Qingfeng County, area of mushroom cultivation totals 15 million square meters while over 15,000 poor population have been driven to get stable incomes and grow rich through mushroom industry.
After the opening ceremony, the research report on “2017-2018 China Industrialized Mushroom Production” was formally released.
“Up to September, 2018, there were 498 enterprises plunging in industrialized mushroom production in China, down 31 compared with 2017, main varieties focus on King oyster, Enoki, Seafood, Hypsizygus marmoreus and Button mushroom,” introduces marketing director of China Edible Mushroom Business net enthusiastically.
“Nowadays, Fresh Products and Preliminarily-processed Products are appealing to China’s mushroom marketing, preliminarily-processed products focus on dried and salted pattern. In China, 60% of Shiitake and Agrocybe cylindracea, 90% of Black fungus and Auricularia polytricha, 95% of White fungus and Bamboo fungus products are sold on dried form, Button mushrooms are sold on fresh, salted, frozen and canned way while fresh Oyster mushroom and Enoki mushrooms always gain popularity by consumers,” introduces Mr. Wang Hexiang, professor from China Agriculture University, going on that as the society makes progress and economy grows, market of mushroom processing shows an enormous development potential and tempting prospect. Deep mushroom processing that highlights functional and ready-to-eat food is going to be the long-term trend for the development of mushroom industry in China.
