Shiitake mushrooms bravely flood into international markets

During over 20 years of development course of Shiitake industry, Xixia County, Henan Province of China has transformed from Basswood to Bag-cultured pattern, developed from Dried Shiitake Mushroom to Fresh Shiitake Mushroom, Shiitake Mushroom Cans, Shiitake Mushroom Sauce and Shiitake Mushroom Powder.
In 2005, Shiitake mushrooms produced in Xixia County were firstly exported to oversea nations, export value has been increased from 3 million USD in 2005 to 653 million USD in 2017, which indicates over 217 times of rise.
Each year, Xixia County inputs 20 million CNY on promotion of standardized Shiitake mushroom technology, service, management and so on. Now, the county sets mushroom production, processing, marketing and export into one, annual processing volume on Shiitake mushroom comes to 8000 tons and annual output value hits 900 million CNY. Besides, in Xixia County, gross output on Shiitake mushroom attains over 200,000 tons, output value totals 2 billion CNY, comprehensive benefits break 6 billion CNY while over 200,000 farmers are leaded to engage with Shiitake production, processing and marketing.
