Biological characteristics and production management of Liusong mushroom

Liusong mushroom（柳松菇）is a kind of new variety isolated and domesticated from wild mushroom in China, the variety shows golden sporocarps, carries considerable nutritional and medicinal values higher than those of other varieties.
Liusong mushroom contains nucleic acid substances which play the inhibitory action to cancer cell, and it is always in short supply in Chinese market.
Biological Characteristic:

Temperature: Medium-temperature type, suitable temperature range for spawn running is 5-35 degrees Celsius and the optimal range is 23-26 degrees Celsius. And, proper temperature range for fruiting is 15-25 degrees Celsius and the preferred range is 18-20 degrees Celsius.

Humidity: Suitable water content on substrate is 60%-65%, for high-level operators, it could be controlled at above 63%. During the fruiting phase, 85%-95% of relative air humidity is ideal.

PH Value: Appropriate PH Value is 6-6.5. When mixing materials, operators could lift it to 8 as it naturally drops down after the sterilization of compost.

Air: During the fruiting phase, concentration of carbon dioxide is below 0.05%.

Illumination: 400-1200 lux

Carbon-nitrogen Ratio: 22～30:l

Mycelia Status: First-grade Strain shows dense texture, and it presents khaki after getting mature. And, other strains ranking after Second-level Strain show light color while they turn white until the fruiting.

Formula of Compost:

FORMULA ONE: 100kg Sawdust, 100kg Cottonseed Hull, 25kg Bran, 25kg Corn Powder, 2kg Soybean Cake Powder, 4kg Superphosphate, 0.8kg Urea, 2kg Lime Powder, 5kg Gypsum Powder and 120g Three-dimensional Mushroom Nutrient Essence

FORMULA TWO: 220kg Cottonseed Hull, 25kg Bran, 5kg Corn Powder, 3kg Superphosphate, 0.8kg Urea, 1kg Lime Powder, 1.5kg Light Calcium Carbonate, 1.5kg Gypsum Powder and 120g Three-dimensional Mushroom Nutrient Essence

Inoculation and Spawn Running: 

After mixing materials, tightly cover piles for 24 hours, then do the bagging, sterilization, inoculation and cultivation in accordance with routine way. And, growers have to master that low temperature and humidity is better than high temperature and humidity, strong ventilation is better than weak ventilation. Lastly, during the course of spawn running, spray insecticidal drug in every 3-7 days.
