Growth conditions: Reishi mushroom is categorized into Wood-rotting Fungi, regarding its artificial cultivation, recommended raw materials are broad-leaved tree branch, sawdust, cottonseed hull and corncob. And, wheat bran, corn powder and rice bran could be used as auxiliary materials. In addition, Reishi mushroom belongs to high-temperature type and it usually fruits under constant temperature. The suitable temperature for growth of mycelia is 4-38 degrees Celsius and the optimal range is 24-28 degrees Celsius. For differentiation of sporocarps, the ideal temperature range is 20-30 degrees Celsius. Moreover, suitable water content on substrate is 60%-65%, and 85%-90% of relative air humidity is required during the growth process of sporocarps.
Mycelia of Reishi mushroom care for weak acid environment, appropriate PH Value is 5.5-5.6. During the cultivation process, growers could blend with 1%-2% of gypsum powder or lime powder, regulate PH Value of substrate to 8-9, then it natually goes down to 7 or so after the sterilization.
Reishi mushroom is aerobic, during the growth period of sporocarps, strong ventilation is undoubtedly needed. And, concentration of carbon dioxide plays a great impact on growth of mushroom caps. Lastly, illumination is also indispensable on inducing the formation of sporocarps, growth of stipe and cap of Reishi mushroom holds evident phototaxis, sporocarps are extremely sensitive to it while they are in young and tender stage.
RECOMMENDED FORMULAS AND STICK PREPARATION:
Formula One: 75% Sawdust, 20% Bran, 2% Soybean Powder, 1% Phosphate Fertilizer, 1% Cane Sugar, 1% Gypsum Powder
Formula Two: 42% Cotton Seed Hull, 42% Sawdust, 15% Bran, 1% Gypsum Powder
Formula Three: 77% Cotton Seed Hull, 10% Bran, 10% Corn Powder, 1% Cane Sugar, 1% Phosphate Fertilizer and 1% Gypsum
Formula Four: 50% Smashed and Soybean-size Corncob, 35% Sawdust and 15% Bran
Respectively control the Water Content and PH Value of substrate at 55%-60% and 5-6.0. After tightly covering the prepared compost for 1-2 hours, timely do the bagging, implement the sterilization, cooling and inoculation so as to promote the spawn-running phase. Under suitable condition, mycelia become fully-grown in bags after 25-30 days.
