Green Mold is one of the most serious diseases that harm the output of Oyster mushroom, it mainly occurs on bulk bags which haven’t gone through spawn running yet or on compost that shows halfway sterilization. Acid and high-humidity environment easily breeds Green Mold and its spores spread fast in the air, and violently breed. If it is not handled properly, there is going to be a tremendous loss. Through years of exploration and experiment in China, the comprehensive control measures are summarized as follows:
1. Lower the temperature and humidity of greenhouse, and enhance the ventilation. Meanwhile, cover the contaminated part with plant ash so as to prevent spores from spreading.
2. Firstly fumigate indoors with 3% of Lysol Solution, then rinse the contaminated part with 1% of Potassium Permanganate Solution.
3. Scatter granules of Potassium Permanganate on the contaminated part and then spray water.
4. Regulate the proportion between Quick Lime and Carbendazol at 9 to 1, blend with moderate water and smear it on the mold part.
5. Soak the mold in 5% of lime water, after it disappears, discharge with lime water and supplement with new materials.
6. Prepare a Kemeiling Solution which holds the proportion of 1:200, then inject or brush it on the infected part.
7. Prepare a Benomyl Solution which holds the proportion of 1 to 8000, then spray it on the infected part.
8. Smear with 95% of Ethyl Alcohol or Coal Oil on the infected part, then remove the part and supplement with new materials.
9. Smear or brush with 3% of Lysol Solution on the infected part, after cleaning tools, get rid of the mould, each time of tool-cleaning should be followed up with the same digging. After that, supplement with compost and strain. This technique is efficient in curing terminal mould infection.
10. In the case of raw material cultivation, blend with 100g of Miconazole in each 100kg of compost so as to eradicate the breeding of Green Mold.
