Requirements on growth condition of Phoenix mushroom

Phoenix mushroom is known as Pleurotus geesteranus, Grey Oyster mushroom and Indian Oyster mushroom, it is a kind of variety separated from Oyster mushroom, its living conditions are mostly same as Oyster mushroom apart from high fruiting temperature. 
Phoenix mushroom is a kind of edible mushroom that carries abundant Proteins, Amino acids, Vitamins and Minerals as well as the efficacy of anti cancer and immune enhancement. Requirements on growth condition of Phoenix mushroom are listed as follow:
1. Nutrition: Phoenix mushroom holds strong saprophytic characteristic, straws, bagasse, sawdust and cottonseed hull could be used as raw materials of substrate preparation.
2. Temperature: Mycelia of Phoenix mushroom grow under the condition of 15-25 degrees Celsius and superior temperature range is 22-27 degrees Celsius, besides, temperature range that fits for occurrence of sporocarps is 8-25 degrees Celsius while the optimal range is 15-20 degrees Celsius. Slow growth speed and large mushroom body are evident in case of low temperature.
3. Humidity: Suitable water content on compost of Phoenix mushroom is at 65% (Waste cottons) and 70%-72% (Straws), which creates optimal conditions for growth of mycelia. In addition, be sure to create 80%-90% of relative air humidity so as to stimulate the growth of sporocarps.
4. Illumination: Illumination is not required during the growth period of mycelia while weak illumination is needed during the growth period of sporocarps. And scattered light facilitates inducing the formation and differentiation of primordia, sporocarps are hard to appear under long-term dark condition.
5. Air: Fresh air is needed during the growth period of mycelia, in case of excessive water content of compost and poor ventilation, mycelia then lead thin and poor growth trend. What’s more, it requires strict demand to air during the growth stage of sporocarps, malformed mushrooms grow in case of poor ventilation.
6. PH Value: Mycelia of Phoenix mushroom grow well under the PH Value of 5.8-6.2, when it surpasses 9, mycelia stop the growth.
