Now, in several soil caves of Beimaoyu Village, Kongcun Town, Shandong Province of China, women are engaged with the trimming and packaging work of Drumstick mushroom.
“Last year, i developed 22 soil caves for Drumstick mushroom growing and gained 13,000 CNY of subsidies. In the future, i plan to enlarge the scale,”says one of local mushroom growers in excitement, going on that Drumstick mushroom cultivation carried out in soil caves highlights suitable and constant temperature and humidity in summer and winter, and original ecology, mushrooms cultivated in caves are superior in quality and abundant in nutrition.
According to know, in order to push mushrooms onto markets in batches, staggered cultivation should be implemented in 22 soil caves, and picking and initial processing work is done everyday. While enjoying two prosperity on production and marketing, growers turn it into an extra incomes of 50-60 CNY per day.
At present, there are over 2000 soil caves for mushroom production in Kongcun Town and annual output attains 30,000 tons. Output of Drumstick mushroom cultivated in soil caves ranks first in China.
