Mushroom production: Four measures to prevent cold and freeze

1. Clear ice and snow away, ditch and drain away water: Timely get rid of ice and snow accumulated on top or around mushroom greenhouse. And ditch drainage ditch around the greenhouse, guarantee smooth water drainage.
2. In cold winter, mycelia enter into hibernation state, hence water-spraying should be eliminated.
3. Enhance the heat-preservation of greenhouse, cultivators could add cambered greenhouse inside the greenhouse and additionally cover thin film, straw matting and other coverings outside. Besides, put a layer of plastic film on the bottom of greenhouse so as to prevent cold-air invasion. In the north of greenhouse, build up windbreak with straws so as to keep out the wind and coldness. And if possible, try to eliminate the times in and out of the room so that the activity of mycelia could be basically guaranteed.
4. When temperature steadily recovers, be sure to timely spray water on surface of mushroom sacks and get routine management right.
