Trial spring and winter Shiitake cultivation is fiercely on the march

Recently, work of stick-arrangement done by Beijing Changping Vegetable Technical Promotion Station has been completed, and now, trial cultivation is on the march in greenhouse A-8.
Temperature stimulation contributes to the fruiting of Shiitake, however, temperature range varies from period to period. For example, during the spore-budding period of Shiitake, suitable temperature range is at 15-28 degrees Celsius while superior range refers to 22-26 degrees Celsius. 
During the mycelia-growth stage, suitable temperature range is at 5-34 degrees Celsius, ideal range refers to 20-27 degrees Celsius while 24-26 degrees Celsius is superior. Above 0 degree Celsius, mycelia lead tardy growth speed, mycelia stop the growth when temperature reaches 35 degrees Celsius while they undoubtedly die at above 40 degrees Celsius.
Mycelia of Shiitake hold strong capacity of low-temperature resistance, they would never be frozen to death even at minus 40 degrees. Mature mycelia are resistant to low temperature while are intolerant to high temperature.
Temperature difference of above 10 degrees is needed during the primordia-differentiation period of sporocarps and the growth period of sporocarps, suitable temperature range is at 5-25 degrees Celsius while superior condition refers to 12-20 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, fruiting temperature of Shiitake also varies from variety to variety. For medium-low temperature variety, suggested fruiting temperature range is at 6-18 degrees Celsius, and 16-27 degrees Celsius is for high temperature variety.
