2017-05-10 16:57:24

During the cultivation period of Grifola frondosa, the most common diseases & pests are Yellow Slime Mold, flies and other mould.
1. Yellow Slime Mold: It holds no cell wall and is a mass of protoplasm which moves and spreads in a quick speed. It directly swallows the spawns and sporocarps of Grifola frondosa and finally results in the decomposition and rot of sporocarps.
Control measures: Enhance the ventilation, especially in rainy season, accumulated water should be strictly prohibited on fungus bed, including the water on the film. You could put a layer of fine sand or scatter a few lime on pavement to control it spread.
2. Mould: Grifola frondosa holds weak antibacterial ability, after you open sacks or earth up, Green Mold usually occurs on the surface of fungus bed, which results in contaminated sacks which refuse to fruit and causes the output.
3. Flies: As the sporocarps of Grifola frondosa carry heavy fragrance which attracts flies, especially during high-temperature season. In order to control them, you should firstly conduct the sanitization of mushroom house and surrounding area, then spray chemical agents to the surrounding area of cultivation field. Besides, you could install fine sand net in the vents of mushroom greenhouse so as to prevent the invasion of pests. Lastly, you could utilize the phototaxis of insects and spray Dipterex solution holding the proportion of 1 to 1000 to glass windows, walls and gauze of mushroom house to kill them.
