Pleurotus nebrodensis cultivation -diseases and pests control

To control diseases and pests on Pleurotus nebrodensis, you could carry out the plant protective policy of “Prevention first, integrated control”. 
For specific actions, you could strictly select strains and choose strains which hold high-resistance and multiple-resistance characteristic, then improve the sanitation of mushroom house, conduct the disinfection and sterilization before you utilize tools, and waste materials should be removed to the place where is far away from mushroom house. What’s more, compost should be fresh and free from mould, and it should also be thoroughly sterilized to create suitable growth conditions. Air holes should be sealed with fly net and for some pests such as Sciarid, you could utilize electric light or sticky cards to trap and kill.
During the initial period of spawn cultivation, you could smash, supplement new materials, sterilize and inoculate again when you find any infection on compost. Furthermore, when finding serious infection on compost in the middle stage of cultivation, be sure to pick the infectious part out and burn it up. When you find local infection on compost during the late stage of cultivation, you could leave it to fruit. When finding Neurospora, be sure to cover the infected part with wet towel and then remove it out of cultivation room, burn it up and bury deeply, you could also spray 50%, 600 times of carbendazol wettable powder on the infected part and the surrounding areas.
When finding local infection on fungus sacks during the fruiting period, you could smear the infected part with lime and then realize the fruiting. For serious infection on fungus sacks, you could remove it and burn it up so as to prevent it from spreading to other fungus sacks. When mushroom flies occur, be sure to enhance the ventilation of mushroom house to reduce the humidity of mushroom house and compost. Besides, you could also install fly net and black light lamp to trap and kill. Most importantly, it is prohibited to spray chemical drugs on mushroom bodies during the cultivation period.
