Neurospora is also well known as Neurospora crassa. The most common varieties are Neurospora sitoohita and N.crassa. Neurospora holds quick development speed and strong infectiousness. After getting contaminated by Neurospora, spawns usually become fully-grown within 5-7 days, then form orange lumps or spore powders on bottle mouth of bag mouth.
1. Occurrence condition: Under natural conditions, Neurospora grows on tender corncobs and burned woods. Besides, Neurospora is incident under high-temperature and high-humidity condition, and usually spread and contaminated by spores.
2. Control methods:
A. Be sure not to discard tender corncobs in production field of mushroom.
B. select raw materials which are fresh and dry. Besides, guarantee thorough sterilization on compost. In general, you should sterilize on the compost under 100 degrees or so and remain for 10 hours.
C. During the spawn running period of cultivation, enhance the ventilation, lower the temperature and humidity while eliminating high-temperature or high-humidity environment.
D. 3-4 days after the spawn running, be sure to check in time, pick out the contaminated strain, for some that have formed spore powders, be sure to pick them out with plastic bags or wet paper parcels wrapped, finally timely burn up and deeply bury.
E. Before you put cultivation room and inoculation room into use, spray Formalin solution so as to conduct the sterilization.
