In usual conditions, 12 hours after the sowing of Straw mushroom, strain blocks begin to bud and grow toward inside of the material. When you find that spawns are not budded yet 24 hours after the budding, it might occurs withering on spawns.
1. The burning in High-temperature: When the temperature of compost is above 45 degrees for a long time, spawns may become withered and dead.
2. Medicine influence: Straw mushrooms are sensitive to pesticides, after sowing, pesticides are sprayed by mushroom farmers to eliminate diseases and pests, which results in withered spawns.
3. Oxygen deficit and suffocation: Too high water content of substrate (Above 70%) or too tight covering of plastic films may result in oxygen deficit and suffocation on spawns.
4. Ammonia harm: Excessive content of urea or chemical fertilizer in compost or field do terrible damage to spawns.
5. Inferior strains: The strain age should be moderately controlled, neither too short or too old. Moreover, the strain holding poor stress resistance would wither under unfavorable environmental condition.
6. Excessive temperature differentials: The spawns of Straw mushroom are sensitive to temperature differentials. When the daytime temperature is above 32 degrees and night temperature is under 28 degrees, spawns become withered after you spray excessive water.
7. Pest occurrence: Pests bite and eat on spawns and turn them into withered status. (Source: Hebei Xinji Pollution-free Test Center)
