Stropharia rugosoannulata is resistant to unfavorable conditions and easy to be cultivated. However, troublesome sundry fungi, diseases and pests always emerge during the whole cultivation process. In usual conditions, sundry fungi cover coprinus, psilocybe and other competitive fungi. Coprinus is the most common one and it always appears on fungi bed which owns poor growth trend or appears on the composts prepared with inferior straws.
Control method:
A. select fresh and dry straws, before the cultivation, expose them under the blazing sun for 2-3 days so as to kill coprinus and other sundry fungus spores.
B. Master appropriate water content on compost: The optimal range is 70%-75%, which is good for the growth of spawns.
C. When finding the sporocarps of coprinus and other sundry fungi, immediately pull out.
