Why Shiitake sticks don’t fruit?

2017-02-13 16:21:13

1. Improper colouring: For some sticks that are affected by strong illumination, too dry air or too frequent turn-over, too dark colouring and too thick Thyroid mycoderma are the final results which restrict the fruiting.
Preventive countermeasure: During the period of colouring, keep the temperature of greenhouse in a range of 18-22 degrees, keep the relative air humidity in a range of 55%-75% while retaining considerable scattered light and reducing the frequency of turn-over. What’s more, for some sticks that hold too thick mycoderma, when they fruit, you should soak them in water, cover film so as to soften mycoderma and further stimulate the fruiting.
2. Poor temperature accumulation on fungus age of sticks, improper cultivation temperature, unreasonable management on the cultivation of sticks and spawns.
Preventive countermeasures: Cultivate fungus sacks under the temperature of 20-25 degrees, or pile fungus tubes up, cover thin film to raise the temperature of piles and promote the after-maturing of spawns.
3. Excessive or insufficient moisture in substrate. Substrates are in oxygen deficit under the condition of excessive moisture in substrate while spawns are in poor vigor under the condition of insufficient moisture. Improper water content directly affects the formation of primordia, the differentiation and growth of sporocarps.
Countermeasures: Forcibly ventilate and moderately moisturize to adjust the humidity of sticks, then specifically stimulate the bud-pressing and fruiting.
