Grifola frondosa requires a longer fruiting period. Diseases and pests hit the door of Grifola frondosa cultivation especially in hot summer. In the meanwhile of sticking to “Prevention first, integrated control,” you should also keep the following control measures in mind.
1. When finding local infection, you could dig the part up using a spade, then scatter a small amount of lime water on the surface and cover fresh and moist soil. In serious infection condition, you could water the ridge surface with 5% of plant ash water.
2. When you find pests, be sure to scatter Dipterex (Trichlorphon) on ridge surface where owns no mushrooms. Applying low-toxic and high-efficient pesticides to kill pests facilitates avoiding the damage from residual toxicity.
3. During the high-temperature season in July and August, when you have observed any muciform sticks on ridge surface, start the inhibition by spraying 1% of bleaching solution on bed surface.
