In order to control sundry fungus contamination on Shiitake cultivation, you should moderately control the cultivation temperature. The superior growth temperature of Shiitake spawns is 22-25 degrees, the superior growth temperature of Shiitake sporocarps is 15 degrees, The preferred spawns should hold even growth, thick and strong trend, may naps, white color and fresh fragrance. It is improper to choose strains with sundry fungi. What’s more, sawdust, bran and other materials used in the substrate should be fresh and free from mould. The water content of substrate should be adjusted in 50%-55%, plastic bags should own even thickness and superior characteristics.
Sterilization should be thoroughly conducted, from material-mixing to barrelling, the gross time should be mastered in 4 hours. You could combine with 0.2%-0.3% of lime in materials so as to prevent fermentation and deterioration. In addition, moderate tightness should be mastered when conducting bagging to prevent the phenomenon of expansion. You could also keep clear of steam and avoid sterilization corner. 5 hours After putting to sterilization pot, make sure the temperature reaches 100 degrees and remain for 3 hours so as to achieve thorough sterilization.
You should avoid high temperature, high humidity and drippy weather during Shiitake cultivation, it is best to inoculate in sunny day of spring and autumn, inoculation could be done in the morning or night of summer. Moreover, Ethyl alcohol should be used in fumigation and sterilization, prompt inoculation should be conducted so that the exposure time of strains in the air could be reduced. After removing bags, you should also prevent high temperature and high humidity. When you find yellow water in fungus tubes, you could spray and wash the surface with sprayer. Besides, fungus feet should be picked thoroughly during mushroom picking or it will cause rotten phenomenon and further breed sundry fungi.
