Mites usually bite and eat mushroom spawns in the surrounding areas of fungus blocks, which makes it hard for spawns to bud. Black fungus and White fungus are the characteristic varieties of infection, mites make terrible damages on the varieties, which results in rotten and misshapen fruits.
Control measures: The cultivation room and mushroom house should be established away from warehouse, feed plant, chicken coop and other similar venues. As the mushroom farmer, you should frequently check on mushroom strains, once you find any mites, immediately fumigate with 50% of DDVP, which kills mites while holding no effect to spawns. After you sow for 1 week in mushroom house, put a piece of plastic cloth on material surface and allow it to lie for 1-2 minutes, then pick it up and observe, when you find any mites, be sure to thoroughly eliminate before the earthing. In general, it is proper to firstly spray 0.5% of DDVP in mushroom house, then close the windows and doors under the room temperature of below 20 degrees, what’s more, 1000g of DDVP could be used to fumigate on 100 square meters of mushroom house for 18 hours or so.
After the fumigation, if you find a small amount of mites, you could spray 0.5% of DDVP again, for some mites harming Black fungus, you could spray 0.5% of DDVP. For another mites existing in root, you could spray Chlorodifon holding the proportion of 1 to 1000 times.
