1. Symptom and the cause of disease: Green mold initially presents white in harm period, and in later harm period, it shows bottle green. The center of colony presents bottle green and gradually becomes shallow outwards. In serious conditions, both fungus sack and substrate become black green, watery and smelly. The main cause of disease is halfway sterilization in substrate, operator fails to conduct sterile operation when inoculating, incompact fungus sack, long-time poor ventilation and too high relative air humidity. Green mold is easy to happen under the temperature range of 15-30 degrees and partial acid environment.
2. Control methods:
A. Be sure to conduct thorough sterilization and evenly pre-wet compost.
B. Strictly conduct aseptic technique When inoculating.
C. Excessive dosage of formaldehyde and other acid disinfectants should be avoided so as to prevent acid environment.
D. When finding Green Mold on the surface of fungus sack, you could inject the mixture of 75% of ethyl alcohol and 2% of formaldehyde into the infected part.
E. When finding Green Mold in fungus tube after removing sacks, you could smear 0.2% of Carbendazim or lime slurry on the infected part to control.
