Superphosphate also doubles as phosphate fertilizer, it is a kind of phosphorus fertilizer that holds weak water solubility and is mainly used in the cultivation of straw rotting fungus such as Button mushroom.
Adding phosphate fertilizer into compost of straw rotting fungus facilitates supplementing the insufficiency of phosphorus and calcium. At the same time, it could also promote the decomposition of microorganisms, which makes for the fermentation and the maturity of compost. In addition, it could also combine with excessive free ammonia in compost and form ammoniated superphosphate, which helps prevent the dissipation of ammonium Nitrogen in compost. 
What’s more, phosphate fertilizer is renowned as the buffering agent which owns the efficacy of improving physical and chemical properties of compost. 
In general, the usage amount of Phosphate fertilizer in the mushroom cultivation is normally in a range of 0.5%-1%.
