The control methods on diseases and pests of Pleurotus geesteranus

Just like other varieties, Pleurotus geesteranus exists diseases and pests, especially in high-temperature season.
Pleurotus geesteranus falls under with high-temperature type, the most serious pests are mushroom flies and mosquitoes, which not only bite and eat spawns, but also cause mould and contamination, during the cultivation management period, please be sure to control them by the following measures.
1. Improve indoor and outdoor sanitation, stay clean and prevent mosquitoes and flies.
2. Install fly net which owns the size of at least 60 mu.
3. During the spawn running period, adopt high-efficient, low-toxic and low-residue pesticides to control pests, the common one is 4.5%, 1500 times of Cypermethrin.
4. During the fruiting period, set up pest-killer lamp, trap and kill them by physical method.
