2016-09-21 15:56:07

Coprinus is the emulative sundry fungus which appears in the straw-manure compost of Shiitake, Straw mushroom, Coprinus comatus and Stropharia rugosoannulata during the high temperature period, the germination of Coprinus spores is easy to be triggered after heavy rainfall, the temperature drop of material during the fermentation period of windrow. In general, the sporocarps of Coprinus are easy to appear 5 days or so after sowing Straw mushrooms, 10 days or so after sowing Shiitakes. However, the spawns are not easy to be seen on fungus bed, they only come out from tiny buds cluster and open caps in 2 days, after that, they secrete black juice, rot and stink in no time, finally may cause a lot of harm including other sundry fungi.
Control methods:
1. Choose the compost which is fresh and free from mould, strengthen ventilation in high-temperature fermentation, avoid rain and reduce the amount of nitrogenous fertilizer.
2. When people find Coprinus in the materials, they could remove before its cap-opening so as to prevent from polluting the cultivation environment.
