During the production process of Enoki mushroom, it is common to see weak spawns and the phenomenon of slow growth of spawns, we have to point out that the major reason is insufficient nutrients in compost. Enzyme produced by spawns of Enoki mushroom could break down cellulose in wood, but couldn’t directly break down lignin. Therefore, in artificial cultivation of Enoki mushroom, people could reasonably match compost to meet the needs during the growth period of Enoki mushroom, especially in sawdust cultivation or large-scale cultivation, people could add 10-20% of fine rice bran or wheat bran and Nitrogen nutrition. The humidity of compost should be appropriate. Too high humidity could cause halfway spawn running or slow growth, too dry compost would cause slow growth spawns or poor spawns. Finally, note that compost should be put evenly, too tight or too loose bagging could affect the normal growth of spawns.
