1. Choose superior strains: too long or too short age of strains, degenerated strains, strains that have weak life force and poor stress resistance or are stored in the environment of too low and too high temperature will collectively result in the phenomenon of impossible germination after sowing and strophic spawns. Therefore, in the production of Straw mushroom, people could choose strains that are superior and are in suitable fungus age. What’s more, too low temperature should be avoided during the cultivation process of Straw mushroom.
2. Control the temperature of compost: in the conditions of higher temperature, thicker compost and good thermal insulation properties of mushroom house, spawns will become withered, dead or burning when the temperature of compost is higher than 42 degrees for a long time after sowing. When the temperature is lower or the diurnal temperature is too big. Spawns will also become slow in growth or withered. In general, during the growth period of spawns, it is improper to keep the temperature of material in below 30 degrees for a long time. Low yield will be obtained when the temperature of material is below 28 degrees.
In a word, after sowing, people could pay close attention to the temperature of material and mushroom house. People could ventilate, spray water in the space or on the ground when the temperature is too high. In low temperature, people could also timely keep warm and warm up.
3. Control the water content of compost properly: when the water content is above 75%, the coverings are too close, compost is airtight or ventilation of mushroom house is not good, spawns will wither or autolyze. So, when disposing compost, people could try to keep dry.
4. Moderate water adjustment: spawns will become withered or dead when the temperature of water is too low, water flow is too hard or too much, mushroom buds are too small or ventilation is not timely. So, people could control the temperature of water in above 5 degrees. If the temperature of material is too low, people could control the temperature of water in above 30 degrees.
5. Prevent sundry fungi and pests: emulative sundry fungi compete with spawns of Straw mushroom for nutrition. Pests such as nematodes, mites and larvaes of flies and mosquitoes will nibble on spawns and cause sundry fungi, viral infection and finally result in withered or dead spawns. Therefore, the following items should be implemented:
A. Secondary fermentation should be thorough, sundry fungi and pests in mushroom house should be killed.
B. Superior strains should be chosen and good environmental health should be kept.
C. Be cautious of chemical injury: after sowing, spawns will become withered or dead under the conditions of incorrect usage of drug, too high concentration, excessive usage, not clean container of water injection and excessive urea. Therefore, when using drugs, people could suit the remedy to the case, read the instructions carefully and separately use the containers of water injection and pesticide to prevent poisoning.
