During the cultivation process of Oyster mushroom, it is common to use pesticide to control pests. However, improper use will lead to poisoning in larger area, which reduces constant and economic value.
1. Symptom: pesticide poisoning will cause unsuccessful fruiting, small amount of mushroom or malformed mushroom. In the initial stage of origination on malformed mushroom, it is impossible for sporocarps to realize normal differentiation and form caps, stipes and spores. After spraying pesticide on the first flush of sporocarps, poisoning symptoms will alleviate or even disappear.
2. Poisoning reason: during the production period of tiny mushrooms or before fruiting, it is general to fumigate with cotton balls of DDVP or directly spray DDVP, the overdose or too high concentration can result in malformed mushroom.
3. Poisoning characteristics: severe pesticide poisoning is easy to happen in the fungus beds that has common pests phenomenon and with larger dosage of pesticide.
4. Methods of control:
A. During the formation and growth period of sporocarps, pesticides should be avoided. People could also conduct small-scale experiment and then promote and apply.
B. Strictly control the dosage of pesticide, especially in fungus beds that are in high temperature. In general, the dosage in each cubic meter of space should be controlled in 10ml, 80% of missible oil. The concentration of spraying should be controlled about 1 to 800 times.
