1. Arrange cultivation season reasonably: Straw mushroom is a kind of High-temperature Type mushroom. In order to make Straw mushroom realize normal spawns running and fruiting after sowing, people could arrange cultivation season in days that with an average temperature of above 25 degrees, which is suitable for the growing of spawns and sporocarps. If people hold plastic house, they could sow in the middle ten days of May ahead of time. With greenhouse, people could cultivate in all the year round.
2. Choose suitable cultivation place: Straw mushrooms can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors, but outdoor cultivation is preferred. In outdoor cultivation, people should choose cropland where has fertile soil, loose, ventilate and convenient drain and irrigate. It is best to choose cropland that has the previous crops of oilseed rape and watermelon, by using this method, people could get a higher yield. Before cultivating Straw mushroom, people could firstly clear away weeds, guarantee “drain flooded field and irrigate in dry land.”
3. Strictly select material: people should choose materials which are dried and free from mould, expose them under the blazing sun for 2 to 3 days before cultivating, straws should be fully dried to avoid rotten material. Before sowing, people could use 5% of lime water to prewet and mix. When the PH Value reaches to above 12, people could build heap and ferment for 4 to 5 days to make the water content of compost reach to 65% and 70%.
4. Adopt scientific cultivation technologies: people could adopt pasteurization, bag cultivation and spawn running. People could use the cultivation method of two segments, which can evidently raise production. By using this method, people could take materials such as straws tightly and make material connect closely, which are suitable for spawn running and avoiding damaged spawns and dead little mushrooms. The second advantage is that in the phase of spawn running, people could increase or decrease layers of piles to adjust the temperature of material and promote the normal growth of spawns. The third advantage is that by earthing, microclimate environment and physical structure of the fruiting place can be improved, it can also make sporocarps of Straw mushroom remain in a more stable environment from the formation of primordium to growth and development, which is fit for raising production. The fourth advantage is that after earthing, nutrient elements in soil can be fully utilized. When earthing, fungus sacks of Straw mushroom should be in flat status, the distance between each fungus sack should be remained in between 5 to 10cm and the gaps should be filled with soil. After earthing, sufficient water should be sprayed to make spawns fully utilize moisture in soil layer and grow. In moisture management, people shouldn’t moisturize in the formation process of sporocarps. Tap water or underground water should not be used to avoid dead mushrooms that are caused by big temperature differences.
