In the cultivation of Straw mushroom, harmful microbes are as follows:
1. Coprinaceae: the life habit of Coprinaceae is similar with Straw mushroom, common Coprinaceae are shaggy cap, Coprinopsis atramentaria and others. When finding these sundry fungi, it means that Straw mushrooms will grow soon. But the growth of sundry fungi will use up the nutrient of compost, so, they should be removed timely. People could strictly sterilize mushroom house, using 4% of lime water to soak is another common method to prevent Coprinaceae.
2. Microsclerotium: spawns of Microsclerotium is stronger than spawns of Straw mushroom, Microsclerotium has white color and silky texture. It competes for nourishment with Straw mushroom and secretes toxins. In serious condition, Straw mushrooms will not get fruited. For part infection, people could dispose with quick lime powder.
3. Mycogone peniciosa magn: myceliums present white and cottony. It could rot sporocarps of Straw mushroom, secrete yellow liquid and cause malformed Straw mushrooms. In serious condition, Straw mushrooms could stop growing. It is extremely important not to use wasted bed material of mushroom to cultivate Straw mushroom. For part infection, people could sterilize with 20% of formaldehyde.
