The cultivation technology of Pleurotus geesteranus

2016-08-08 15:38:08

1. The separation of strain and breed selecting: strains of Pleurotus geesteranus that are used in production come from two aspects, the first aspect is to separate and acquire spawns from sporocarp, the second aspect is to directly introduce from research and development institution and production unit of strain. In general, Research and development institution acquire separation, purification and rejuvenation from sporocarps. Most of cultivators directly introduce from production unit because they don’t possess the condition of separation and making.
2. Season arrangement of cultivation: according to the fruiting temperature of Pleurotus geesteranus, people usually make fungi sack from February to March in spring cultivation and make fungi sack from May to August in autumn cultivation. People could arrange the cultivation ahead of time in some areas of high altitude.
3. Cultivation method: the cultivation method of Pleurotus geesteranus is mostly similar with the mature material cultivation of Oyster mushroom and Phoenix mushroom, but raw material cultivation cannot be  applied in Pleurotus geesteranus. People could cultivate Pleurotus geesteranus indoors or set up shady greenhouse to cultivate.
4. The production of fungi sack and spawn running:
Formula on cultivating Pleurotus geesteranus:
A. Broad-leaved tree sawdust 50%, corncob 26%, wheat skin 15%, corn powder 5%, cane sugar 1%, gypsum powder 1%, lime 2%, monopotassium phosphate 100g, magnesium sulfate 25g.
B. Cottonseed hull 92%, wheat skin 5%, cane sugar 1%, gypsum powder 1%, lime 1%
C. Bagasse 50%, sawdust 32%, wheat bran 15%, gypsum powder 1%, lime 2%, urea 100g.
D. Cottonseed hull 90%, rice husk 4%, glucose 1%, peptone 0.5%, glutamic acid 0.5%, wheat skin 4%, a few lime.
Corn stalk, peanut stalk and peanut hull can be used as compost and all mentioned raw materials should be smashed before utilizing.
Mix prepared material well with water, adjust the water content in between 60% and 65%. In high temperature season, people should heap material up and ferment for 4 to 5 days, then bagging and sterilization can be arranged, people could choose high density polypropylene plastic bags or polyethylene plastic bags which are in sizes of 17*33*0.05m or 20*35*0.05m. People should guarantee a moderate tightness when bagging, make compost tightly cling to the walls of fungi sack. Then, people could sterilize for 15 to 16 hours in 100 degrees and take fungi sacks out after cooling to 70 degrees. Sterilized bags should be removed into sterilized inoculating room. People could close windows and doors after finding that the temperature of fungi sack has been cooled to under 30 degrees, use aerosol disinfection box to sterilize for 5 to 6 hours in each cubic meter, then inoculation can be done and each bottle or bag can inoculate 20 to 30 bags. After inoculation, people could cultivate in the normal temperature of 20 to 28 degrees. After 30 to 40 days, fruiting will happen when finding that spawns are fully grown in fungus sack.
