Three methods on high-yield inoculation of Shiitake

1. Thick inoculation method: increase points of spawn-running on basswood, the area of spawn running can be increased when spawn running points are plentiful and can make the soakage of spawns in basswood in a short time. Gas exchange between basswood and outside world mainly depends on moisture absorption and evaporation, dry-wet alternate moisture movement can make internal of basswood get enough oxygen and make spawns go deeper into basswood to accelerate the growth of basswood and reduce the infection rate by sundry fungus.
2. Deep inoculation: deep hole can take added spawns, which is good for increasing drought resistance and reducing the stimulation of bottom that is caused by temperature difference. Spawns can quickly bud under the relative constant condition, survival rate can be increased. It is proper to open deep holes to increase the depth of tangential wood, make spawns absorb more sufficient nutrient and greatly increase yield.
3. Early inoculation method: in the condition of low temperature, spore density and activity of sundry fungus in air will be low and not easy to bud into mycelium. But spawns of Shiitake can settle in low temperature and with strong resistance, robust growing condition of spawns and high survival rate.
