Some common reasons of malformed Pleurotus nebrodensis

The phenomenon of malformation will reduce ranks of product or even cause loss on commodity value, which can seriously affect the economic effect of cultivator. The most important reason of malformed Pleurotus nebrodensis is maladjustment between external cultivation environment condition and the growth requirement of Pleurotus nebrodensis. Performances are improper temeprature, humidity, light and air when fruiting or some errors in management.
1. Unreasonable design of mushroom greenhouse: cultivation places of Pleurotus nebrodensis are indoor and outdoor, most of them are simple, crude in construction and exist flaws. Some designs in windows and air holes of greenhouse cause poor ventilation or hard ventilation. Poor ventilation can cause lack of oxygen and result in the phenomenon of malformation in aerobiotic Pleurotus nebrodensis.
2. The arrangement of mushroom wall is unscientific: some fungus sacks are piled too high after entering into greenhouse, some even exceed 1 meters. Filled soil between mushroom walls are partial sticky, which cause the phenomenon of airtightness or poor permeability in soil and affect cellular respiration. By the similar way, the arrangement of mushroom wall is too dense and has no soil in the middle. What’s more, insufficient moisture between bags will cause dehydration of spawns and result in malformed Pleurotus nebrodensis.
3. Nutrition deficiency: cottonseed hull and bran are affected by damp, mildew and result in nutrient loss. Low dosage in bran will cause lack of nutrition in cultivation period and cannot meet normal needs. What’s more, evaporation of water in mushroom will cause dehydration of spawns. All mentioned factors can result in malformed Pleurotus nebrodensis.
4. Inadequate technology of bud pressing: after getting physical maturity of spawns, people should conduct low temperature stimulation from 0 to 13 degrees for 10 to 15 days. During this period, people should also conduct temperature stimulation in above 10 degrees for 5 to 7 days to promote the differentiation of primordium.
Error in bud thinning: some cultivators feel happy when seeing many buds and donnot want to pick off. Improper bud thinning will cause variant shapes of Pleurotus nebrodensis
5. Improper management in fruiting period: during the fruiting period, improper adjustment in temperature, light and air will cause malformed Pleurotus nebrodensis. Late picking will also cause supercolossal mushroom bodies and result in malformed Pleurotus nebrodensis.
