How to identify good strains of Straw mushroom?

Before conducting the cultivation of Straw mushroom, farmers should firstly identify good strains. Good strains appear thick and consistent. Aerial mycelium presents white or translucent. Specific identification methods are as follows:
1. Fungus age should be about 30 days, with thick and white appearance, light brown chlamydospores should exist in spawns. Good strains should possess the fragrance of Straw mushroom. If there exists rarely chlamydospores, farmers can let them grow for a week.
2. If age of strains exceed 50 days, spawns in the substrate are gradually becoming sparse, so they are not suitable for using in cultivation.
3. When farmers discover yellow, green or black spots in strain or cotton plug, it means that strains have been affected by sundry fungus and should never be used.
