Variety, temperature and humidity are key factors of influencing the output of Oyster mushroom. Here are some reasons that result in death of Oyster mushroom:
1. Major fluctuations in temperature: in early autumn, temperature is easy to fluctuate in short term. It is suitable for the spawn growth of Oyster mushroom when the outside temperature rises to about 30 degrees.
2. Strains are not fit to the environmental condition: Oyster mushroom has lots of varieties and can be classified in High-temperature Type, Mid High Temperature Type and Wide Temperature Partial High Temperature Type. It is important to choose right variety in order to acquire high yield and good quality. When the fruiting is in summer and strains belong to Low Temperature Type or Mid Temperature Type, so it will result in death of Oyster mushroom for the reason of inadaptation.
3. Excess water spraying: during the distension period of sporocarp, if people spray excess water, it will result in edema phenomenon and death.
4. Strong wind result in plummeted humidity: during the cultivation of Oyster mushroom, improper ventilation will result in strong wind and the reduction of humidity in greenhouse. When relative air humidity is less than 80%, little mushroom bodies will die for the reason of water shortage.
