Matters needing attention on mushroom cultivation

1. Sufficient prewetting: straws should be fully soaked, insufficient soaking will affect the growth of spawn.
2. Uniform turning: farmers should do turning by the rule of “raw material is in the middle, ripe material is on both sides”. If now, it will cause uneven fermentation.
3. select superior soil: some farmers always use untreated garden soil to earth up and add cow dung, which will carry a lot of bacteria, virus, many diseases and cause losses to mushroom farmers.
4. It is improper to add urea when earthing up: adding urea will cause overloaded ammoniacal odour and lead to deaths of spawn.
5. It is improper to spray “Closing water”: spraying “Closing water” in earlier stage of cultivation will cause a high-temperature environment, cause deaths of young mushrooms. Spraying “Closing water” in late period will cause the degeneration and premature senility of spawn.
6. Timely disease prevention: some farmers always treat diseases and pests in more serious condition, which cause the missing of the best period on prevention and treatment and cause serious reduction of output.
