1. Varieties of trees: in general, deciduous tree can be used to cultivate organic Black Fungus, but higher output can be achieved when using maple, poplars, salicylic maple and cherry tree.
2. Felling and segmenting: the optimal period of felling is from this winter to the following spring, because during this period, trees are in dormant and has abundant nutrition, which will make for a higher yield. For undersized log, felling and segmenting can be done at the same time, saline solution should be put to prevent polluting germs, heap in “#” type and expose to the sun.
3. Choices of venue: Black Fungus is pleased to wet condition, it also need ventilation and sunshine. The optimal venue is the level area and paddy field where is close to water.
4. Inoculation of the top heap and spore germination management: inoculation can be done under the daily average temperature of 5 degree, the optimal temperature is between 10 and 20 degree, the hole depth is above 1.5 centimeter, with the gap between 3 and 5 centimeter.
5. Sprouting and turning management: turning usually be done after 15 days, its purpose is to adjust the moisture and temperature.
